we can finally announce the international release of carrier pigeons. the album will be out on may 9th on all major digital platforms, and is available for itunes pre-order right now. remember that the cd and limited vinyl versions are available at the kitty wu shop for those who like to touch.

These limited beauties sum up the essence of an album, with an array of unique features such as vinyl-only tracks (The Rules of Transportation), Letter-pressed leadtype inlays (Someone Was Here) and handmade photographic darkroom prints (Carrier Pigeons). Cut on high quality vinyl ranging from 180g-220g and dressed in artwork you can hold and hug, every single copy has quite a bit of our blood, sweat and tears in it.

golden ticket

as previously hinted, the special vinyl edition of carrier pigeons would be extra special for someone. inside one single and random copy of the vinyl, we have placed a golden ticket. this ticket awards the recipient a unique and original art print AS WELL as a spot on the kitty wu guest list FOR LIFE!

we have no idea where this very special copy of the album is - it might be in a record store or it might be in our koncert merchandise stock, but we are looking forward to hearing from the lucky winner someday!

Dear All,

2012 has been one for the books. We got to release our 5th album, Carrier Pigeons, and not only are we proud of the record itself, we are equally proud (and humbled) to part of a relatively small club of artist who have stuck at it long enough to actually release 5 albums. YOU are all, in no small part, one of the reasons for this, and for that we salute you.

This was also the year where we got to work at Electric Lady Studios (a big deal for us), made many new friends around the world and played a string of very cool shows.

We have no intentions of slowing down in 2013, where our plans include the international release of Carrier Pigeons, the launch of our own shop and, first and foremost, as many shows as we can convince people to let us play, in Denmark and beyond!! Many of these shows will be carried out in a way that will allow us to revisit songs we haven't played in a long time, as well as doing the new songs to their full potential. We are having a great time preparing this as we speak, but more on that later...

But plans are only plans. During our five albums and the years surrounding them, we have done our utmost to release music that actually meant something to us and hopefully others, and to play concerts where everything was left on the stage. In the end that's what it boils down to, that's what we will keep doing for as long as we like, and we are truly happy to invite you along for the ride.Thank you for your continuing support!

Dear friends

A heartfelt thank you to all of you for staying in touch with us through a strange year of chaos and scattered presence. Times are changing rapidly around us all and we are continuously walking a knives edge separating good new from bad new.

We are, in this very moment, hard at work on the new album, and one of the reasons that we look forward to 2012 is that we get to share this music with you. We also plan to tour our hearts out and hope to see you all out there. Nothing brings us greater joy.

Album status // Videodiary Berlin.

We are making an album!

This time around Robert has moved the writing efforts to Berlin, while periodically working with Allan and Claus in Copenhagen.

We are highly exited about the direction and will be working throughout the fall. We are documenting the process through a planned series of videodiaries, and this first episode offers a glimpse into how Berlin have helped shape the first sketches of the album. Watch the video here in HD.

Live at Tide FM

Hey folks. We've done a little digging in the archives and would like to share these recordings with you. In 2005, while touring the album Knives and Daggers in Germany, we did a live session at the Hamburg Radio Tide FM. 
The session was recorded at an ungodly early hour, the morning after a show, and features a hung-over Robert on Vocals and guitar, Allan on lapsteel, Claus and Samuel sleeping in the corner, and our trusty Front of House engineer Magnus Groth on the Roland Space Echo. 
We like the thin-skinned nature of this session and it really takes us back. Have a listen and enjoy your summer!
